Chefs & Dietitians Offered Accredited Training at Kosher World.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Kosher World Conference & Expo, the international tradeshow for expanding kosher markets, today rolled out the first part of Kosher World's conference track, which has been accredited by the American Dietetic Association's Commission on Dietetic Registration, as well as approved by the American Culinary Federation, for continuing education hours.

There are over 10 million Californians who can use kosher to their benefit including Muslims, Seventh-Day Adventists, the 20% of the population who are lactose intolerant, and the millions that are "Vegetarian Inclined." With the addition of the traditional Jewish and health conscience population, kosher has been growing by leaps and bounds. More than ever, kosher is a year round product segment that appeals to large portions of mainstream consumers. Kosher World's conference track offers dietitians and chefs accredited, high-caliber continuing education sessions to maintain their licenses and titles. "Kosher 101," "Benefits and applications of kosher," and "Preparation and delivery" are all sessions designed for professionals in the mainstream.

Kraft, as one of the nation's best recognized marketers of kosher food products, is the sponsor of this conference track. "Kraft is proud to lead the way on educating dietitians and chefs as to the benefits and applications of kosher to the broader markets," said Tony Ramirez, Area Vice President, Kraft Food Service. "Kraft supports quality education programs that help those in the mainstream understand not only how to make the most of kosher products year round, but how to position themselves to serve the community at new levels."

"Kosher has always been about the traditional markets -- that's been the focus of the industry, the shows, and the publications. Kosher World focuses on bringing kosher to mainstream and mainstream to kosher ... and to do that with products that are kosher for year round," said Neil Ticktin, CEO of Kosher World Conference & Expo. "Those that understand the trends, like Kraft, are forward thinking companies. They understand that kosher appeals to a far broader market than most think about."
